Call for Papers – MMAI 2025

We invite submissions to the 5th IEEE International Workshop on Multimodal AI (MMAI), held in conjunction with the IEEE International Conference on Data Mining (ICDM) 2025, taking place in Washington, D.C., USA, from November 12–15, 2025.

MMAI serves as a premier forum for academic researchers and industry practitioners to present the latest advancements and emerging trends in multimodal artificial intelligence. The workshop promotes collaboration and knowledge sharing through presentations, discussions, and networking.

We welcome high-quality, original research contributions related to, but not limited to, the following topics:

• Multimodal representation learning
• Multimodal data modeling
• Multimodal data fusion techniques
• Multimodal learning frameworks and architectures
• Cross-modal retrieval and reasoning
• Applications of multimodal AI in healthcare, robotics, transportation, education, etc.

Submission Tracks

We are accepting submissions in two categories:

• Short Papers:
  5–6 pages (main content) + up to 4 pages for references and appendix

• Poster Papers:
  3–4 pages (main content) + up to 4 pages for references and appendix

Papers must be submitted in PDF format, written in English, and formatted according to the IEEE conference camera-ready style. All submissions will be peer-reviewed and selected based on originality, technical quality, and relevance to the workshop.

Proceedings
